Cher admires her son Chaz Bono

Cher says she “admires” her son Chaz Bono, who legally changed his gender and name last year.

The Burlesque star held a small screening of the upcoming documentary Becoming Chaz at her Malibu home over the weekend, People magazine reports.

“I admire my son Chaz’s courage for sharing his personal journey,” Cher said.

“Most important to me is that he is very happy. That’s what I care about the most. He has my love and support.”

Cher recently admitted she is a “lazy-a*sed” Buddhist.

The singer-and-actress is a follower of the spiritual faith but admits she only meditates or prays when she wants to, rather than when she should.

“I am the worst Buddhist ever. I love reading it and saying the prayers, but I’m such a lazy-a*sed Buddhist,” she said.

“I meditate but only when I want to. I’m so stubborn. I don’t like to be forced to do anything. If you try and force me, it’s the wrong thing to do.”
