Orlando Bloom glad he quit Pirates?

Orlando Bloom feels “great” about quitting the Pirates of the Caribbean movie franchise

The actor resigned from the film series after three movies in an effort not to be typecast and instead move onto meatier roles.

“I feel great about it,” says Orlando on not linking up with Johnny Depp again. “I think the new film is going to be fantastic although I have no idea about the direction that they are going to go in. But for me, it was great at the time. I had the best time making those films so I am not going to complain.”

Bloom who welcomed his first child, son Flynn, with wife Miranda Kerrearlier this year recently admitted that fatherhood is leaving him dazed and confused.

“He’s amazing,” Bloom said of his little boy. “Right now I’m like, ‘Am I awake or am I asleep?’ but it is amazing.

“Having a child takes the pressure off and gives you a bit of focus. Everything else just fades away.”
