Emma Watson has announced she’ll be transferring from Brown University to another school in the fall.
Emma’s rep said the Harry Potter actress has decided to pursue courses not currently offered at the Rhode Island school.
The spokesman denied reports Emma was “bullied” out of the Ivy League school, insisting the star had in fact developed a network of friends and “absolutely loved her time at Brown.”
It’s not yet known which school the actress, who is currently taking time off from studying to focus on making movies, will be headed to in the fall.
In March, Watson wrote on her official website that she would be temporarily leaving her studies to promote the final installment of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
“As you know, I love Brown and I love studying pretty much more than anything but recently I’ve had so much to juggle that being a student and fulfilling my other commitments has become a little impossible,” she wrote.
“I’ve decided to take a bit of time off to completely finish my work on Harry Potter… I will still be working towards my degree… it’s just going to take me a semester or two longer than I thought.”
Watson recently admitted she is looking forward to venturing into other film projects when Potter comes to an end.
“It’s exciting to start branching out, having just done Potter for ten years,” she explained.
“I’m making a film in May which I’m really excited about, which is set in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I’ll be doing an American accent which will be a challenge. But it’s nice just to do something different.”
