Blake Lively change hair color for movie

Blake Lively has dished the dirt on her new ‘do!

The Gossip Girl actress has ditched her blonde locks for a reddish hue which she debuted TIME 100 Gala in New York City Tuesday night and admits she did so for a film role.

“It’s for the film Hick,” Lively told People-magazine.

“I thought [my character] needed red hair. It helps when you’re playing a role, when I don’t feel like myself. And I don’t really feel like myself with red hair.

“I love it. I feel like Ariel.”

Lively recently revealed she only likes to go out to “listen to live music and stuff”.

“I don’t think I’ve ever been to a club other than to see a band, or if the Gossip Girl producers are throwing an after-party specifically for us to go to, or the red carpet,” Blake said.

“But I have never gone out, just to go out, because I don’t really find it that fun. I like to go and listen to live music and stuff, so that’s when I’ll go out.”
