Beyoncé being sued for $100 million
Beyoncé is being sued for a reported $100 million for being the "diva grinch" who ruined Christmas.
The singer, who released her new single 'Run The World (Girls)' worldwide last week, is said to have breached a contract with video game company Gate Five after demanding more money to feature on dance game Starpower: Beyoncé, forcing 70 people out of employment a week prior to Christmas.
The New York Post reports that the singer's demands caused financial backers of the project to pull out, and was "a bad faith breach of contract so callous that, on what appeared to be a whim, she destroyed Gate Five's business, and drove 70 people into unemployment, the week before Christmas".
The suit further claims that the game, which was due for release this Christmas, was scrapped after an "extortionate demand for entirely new compensation" from Beyoncé's team came at a "crucial moment in the project's development".
Gate Five CEO Dareh Gregorian told the newspaper: "It was a very shocking and disappointing turn of events that no-one saw coming, and now we're all trying to pick up the pieces."
Beyoncé's team have yet to respond to the claims.
