Ashton Kutcher & Demi Moore to remake Smokey and the Bandit?

Ashton Kutcher wants to team up with his wife Demi Moore for a remake of Smokey and the Bandit.

The Killers star wants Demi to play Sally Field to his Burt Reynolds in a new version of the classic 1970s road movie.

“Ashton is a huge fan of Smokey and the Bandit and loves the idea of taking the story to a new audience,” reveals a source close to the actor.

“He even thinks Demi would make a great runaway bride. They’d love to work together and this may just be the right project. Burt Reynolds is lined up for a cameo should the movie make it to the big screen.”

Demi has previously revealed she’d like to direct Ashton in a movie.

“I actually think I could direct him really well,” she said.

“You know when you know someone so well you can see through their bulls***? That’s what it would be like if I directed Ashton.”
