Demi Lovato bullied for being fat!

Demi Lovato says childhood bullying contributed to her eating disorder.

The actress who ended up in rehab last November opened up about her struggles in an interview with ABC’s Robin Roberts.

“I literally didn’t know why they were being so mean to me,” Demi said of her childhood tormentors. “And when I would ask them why, they would just say, ‘Well, you’re fat.’ I was bullied because I was fat. And then a few months later I developed an eating disorder, and that’s kind of what I’ve been dealing with every since.”

Lovato was “compulsively overeating when [she] was 8 years old,” and said for the past 10 years, she’s “had a really unhealthy relationship with food.”

Demi recently revealed she had a nervous breakdown before entering rehab.

“I basically had a nervous breakdown,” she said.

“I was really bad off. My parents and manager pulled me aside and said, ‘You need to get some help.’ It was an intervention. I wanted freedom from the inner demons. I wanted to start my life over.”
