Michael Douglas isn’t letting his personal problems get him down.
The formerly cancer-stricken actor whose wife Catherine Zeta-Jones recently announced she had entered a facility to receive treatment for her Bipolar II disorder and is currently facing more legal action from his ex-wife braved the rainy New York City weather for a solo stroll Wednesday, according to People magazine.
The next day, the actor reunited with Catherine over lunch at a Pizza Post in Connecticut, near the couple’s home
.
Douglas’ representative Allen Burry recently told RadarOnline that the actor’s health is “continuing to improve”.
“He’s doing fine, his health continues to improve and I can see the difference,” Burry said.
However, despite his health now improving the star who has children Dylan, 10, and seven-year-old Carys with wifeCatherine Zeta-Jones is having regular check-ups and isn’t rushing back to work.
“He goes in once a month for a check-up, and he will do that for the first year,” Allen said.
“The appointments are just to monitor how he’s doing, and so far he’s clear, and they’re pleased with his improvement.
“It takes a while so he isn’t working yet, and won’t start doing movies until the fall.”
Around the time he announced his illness, Michael confessed he couldn’t forgive the doctors who at first failed to notice that he had a tumor.
“I understand it’s a very difficult cancer tumor to find,” he said.
“It was under the tongue and it’s unusual, but I’m still doing my homework on it. I would say I have not forgiven… stage two would have been nicer than stage four.”
