Shakira robbed by fan during concert

Shakira was robbed by a fan during a concert.

The 34-year-old singer was shaking hands with revelers as she performed in Monterrey, Mexico last Thursday when one opportunistic concertgoer snatched her ring from her finger.

Although Shakira noticed the robbery which was caught on camera she continued performing and did not confront the thief.

No arrests have been made and the concert at the University of Monterrey, was her final show in the country.

Meanwhile, Shakira’s boyfriend soccer player Gerard Pique has revealed although he is “very happy” with his girlfriend, he is struggling to cope with the newfound paparazzi presence that comes with dating an internationally famous pop star.

“They travel in a pack and it is a question of getting used to this new situation where you are being followed in the street. I try to take it in my stride,” he told Spain’s Mundo Deportivo newspaper.

The Colombian singer revealed her romance Gerard last month by posting a picture of them together on her Twitter page.

Asked why she decided to announced their relationship after months of speculation, he said, “She simply wants to show that we are in a good place, that I am very happy and so is she, and that’s all.”
